Willows House Boat on the Thames

Willows Houseboat on the Thames

The Willow Mobile Houseboat with a 25tonne Hull

Marine Fabrication manufactured a 15m x 5m hull made from mild steel for a new house to go on it. This project also had to have an inboard engine and bow thrusters as it had to be completely movable and turn on its own axis.

The hull roughly weighed 25Tonnes without the house on it. The finished house boat ended p on the Thames and the current occupiers love taking it up and down the Thames for a spin.

View the Gallery where some still images show the steps towards completion along with a short video.
